Platters & Chargers

I do a variety of large platters in 15th and 16th century styles.  I create museum reproductions and original designs.  These platters are functional  for serving food as well as display.

Original Designs:

This is one of my most special pieces.  It was awarded a premium ribbon at the 2001 State Fair of Texas.  It took approximately 20 hours to create.  The center contains a sketch of St. Louis Catholic Church in Castroville, Texas.

Platter Set:

This is a 7 piece hors d'oeuvre or antipastiera set.  The decorated design is original.

An 11 3/4 X 15 3/4 oval platter using the same original design as the antipastiera set.

This collection of platters is based primarily on the design of a specific 16th century museum piece.  The design has been modified from the original 16th century small bowl to fit the different platter shape.  I also removed the heraldry.
